The Ottawa Climate Minister

Has some clout for things so sinister

There’s federal tools to use  

Legislate, consul-tate, have reviews!

The Calgary Raging Grannies, spring 2020, after the UCP government regressively struck down an early 70s ruling by the Progressive Conservatives  to stop strip mining in Alberta.  An Australian company has since bought land close to Blairmore and has already started construction with the UCP government’s blessing, though the Federal Government is examining the situation.

Calgary Raging Grannies

On the UCP announcement to remove ambulance dispatch from Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Fort McMurray, over fierce objections of Calgary City Council as well as the other 3 cities, September 2020.

We’re the Raging Grannies and we’re here to take a stand,

To keep choice free for women all across our land.

We won’t go back to hangers if our right to choose is banned!

We’re Rising Up, we’re rising up, our anger has been fanned.

We stand here in Calgary and wonder at your disgrace

That you want women’s and lgbtq rights to melt without a trace

What makes you think you can mess with us, as if we had no rights?

Try it, and you’ll fail –in two million fights!

 We’re mothers, sisters, aunts and daughters, kickin’ up a fuss.
